How it works
Pakistan floods. It has flooded catastrophically three times in fifteen years, and it will flood again. Between those events there are earthquakes, building collapses, and displacement from local conflict. Emergency relief is not an exceptional programme here; it is a recurring one.
Our advantage is proximity. Because our volunteers live in the affected districts, we are usually distributing within seventy-two hours, well before larger organisations complete their assessments. We are not a substitute for large-scale response — we are the bridge until it arrives.
Our emergency response covers shelter kits (tarpaulin, rope, ground sheet, basic tools), clean drinking water and purification tablets, three-day emergency food packs, and hygiene kits. In winter we distribute blankets, quilts and warm clothing, which in northern districts is a survival issue rather than a comfort one.
We hold a standing emergency reserve. Donations to this programme are held ready rather than spent on arrival, so that response does not wait on fundraising.
