Orphan Care

Monthly sponsorship covering food, schooling, clothing and healthcare for orphaned children within their own families.

Orphan Care

How it works

An orphaned child in Pakistan is usually taken in by an extended family that was already stretched. The child is rarely unloved; the household is simply unable to absorb another set of costs. What follows is predictable — the child leaves school first, eats last, and sees a doctor only in an emergency.

Our sponsorship keeps the child in the family and covers what the household cannot: monthly food, school fees and materials, seasonal clothing, and routine healthcare. We do not run an institution, and we do not remove children from relatives who want them.

Sponsorship is a monthly commitment, and we ask donors to treat it as one. A sponsorship that stops after two months is worse for the child than one that never started, because the household has already adjusted around it.

Each sponsored child has a guardian record, a school record, and a quarterly review. Sponsors receive a written update twice a year.

What that means

  • Children stay with their extended family, not in an institution
  • Covers food, school fees, clothing and routine healthcare
  • Quarterly review of the child's schooling and health
  • Written update to the sponsor twice a year
