Technical Training & Test Center

Free trade training for young people who cannot pay for it — welding, pipe fitting, structure work and heavy-machinery operation, at Quaidabad.

Technical Training & Test Center

How it works

A trade is the shortest route out of poverty for a young person in Pakistan with no qualifications. The obstacle is almost never willingness. It is the fee, the tools, and a certificate an employer will actually accept.

The Shehzad Technical Training & Test Center runs that training free of charge. Courses are taught on real equipment by people who work in the industry, on the same plant sites where the work happens, and they end in a practical test rather than a paper certificate.

Safety is the first week, not an afterthought. Every intake begins with site safety, fire response and equipment handling before a trainee is allowed near a machine.

The centre is run alongside Shahzad Mechanical Engineering Contractor, whose crews supply the instructors and the equipment — and, for trainees who finish well, the first job.
