A term that was nearly the last
Three sisters had stopped attending school in October. Clearing one term of arrears brought all three back before the place was lost.

The family had managed school fees for four years on a single income from casual work. When that work stopped for six weeks, the fees went unpaid, and the three girls stopped attending rather than face the school.
The school flagged them to a volunteer who knew the household. Verification took an afternoon. We cleared the two terms of arrears directly with the school, paid the coming term, and supplied uniforms and books for all three.
All three returned within the week. The eldest sat her exams that spring.
This is the most common case we see in education support, and the cheapest to solve. The intervention is small and the window is short — a few weeks after the fee deadline, before the school reallocates the place.
